Nintendo Game Content Guidelines for Online Video & Image Sharing Platforms

We are humbled every day by your love and loyalty for Nintendo's games, characters and worlds, as well as the fact that you wish to to express yourself in a creative way by sharing your own original videos and images that incorporate content from our games.



As long as you follow the basic guidelines, we won't be against the use of gameplay footage or screenshots of games for which Nintendo owns the copyright ("Nintendo Game Content") in the content you create on appropriate images and video sharing sites. These guidelines are intended to help you.



- You may earn money from your channels and videos using the monetization methods defined by Nintendo. Other forms of monetization of our intellectual property for commercial use are not permitted. We encourage you to create videos that contain your commentary and inputs to the creative process. Videos and images that are simple copies of Nintendo Game Content without creative commentary or input are not permitted. You are, however, able to upload gameplay videos and screenshots using Nintendo system features, like the Capture Button on Nintendo Switch without any additional input or commentary. - You are only permitted to make use of Nintendo Game Content that has been released by Nintendo, or from promotional materials officially released by Nintendo (such as trailers for the product or Nintendo Directs). If you plan to make use of the intellectual property of a third party you are responsible for obtaining any necessary third-party permissions. - You are not permitted to claim or imply that your videos are associated with or sponsored by Nintendo. We reserve the right not to remove any content that we find illegal, infringing, inappropriate or in violation of these Guidelines.



Please be aware that we are not able to respond to individual questions regarding these Guidelines. We may also update these guidelines at the moment it is implemented. Please ensure you are using the most current version prior to you post your content.
