The UKHO's All Digital Update is a vital tool for ship owners/managers. This publication is a vital aid for any ship owner/manager considering a lay-up. It is available for download from UKHO's FTP site and is also available via the e-Navigator, ARCS Online Updating Service, and AVCS Online Updating Service. From Week 2, 2019, UKHO will continue to publish the digital update CDs and will continue to dispatch them as usual.
Week 1
The European Commission is supporting the All Digital Update Weeks campaign, a call to action for all Europeans to make use of digital technologies to improve their lives. The campaign includes a wide range of activities at local, regional and national levels, and involves strategic and local partners, participants and individuals. All of these activities take place on a variety of topics, and are aimed at raising awareness about the potential of digital technology for people's lives.
During the launch event, Nenja Wolbers, Deputy Chair of the Board and Project Manager at the Stiftung Digital Chancen, described the experiences of several member organisations at a national and regional level. The topics covered ranged from the creation of new digital services for citizens to workshops aimed at older generations. The session also included discussions about digital literacy, cybersecurity and digital development.
