The UKHO's publication is an essential aid for ship owners/managers who are considering the lay-up of a ship. The publication is available as CDs, DVDs or online downloads. This is the most comprehensive guide available on the subject of laying-up ships. The UKHO's latest edition is available online from the UKHO's FTP site. It can also be downloaded via the e-Navigator.
Week 52
UKHO has announced that it will no longer produce CDs or DVDs for Week 52 or Week 1. However, it is still possible to download updates from the FTP site and the e-Navigator. In addition, updates are available on the ARCS Online Updating Service and AVCS Online Updating Service. As per usual, UKHO digital update CDs will continue to be mailed to UKHO members from Week 2 onwards. This publication is a necessary aid for owners and managers of vessels, especially those considering a ship lay-up.
Week 1
The first week of ALL DIGITAL Update Week was marked with a number of events and webinars that promoted digital skills and the benefits of the internet. The event was endorsed by the European Commission and involved a number of partner and strategic organisations, as well as individuals and supporters. The main objective of the week was to promote digital skills to the public.
During All Digital Update , Nenja Wolbers, Deputy Chair of the Board and Project Manager at the Stiftung Digital Chancen, introduced a session that showcased ALL DIGITAL member organisations and shared their experiences at national and regional level. Members discussed topics ranging from workshops for the older generation to cybersecurity and digital literacy.
