A 19-year-old man has admitted to making bomb threats against thousands of schools which led to the closure of more than 400 schools.

George Duke-Cohan, Watford, also sent mass emails to schools in the UK in the UK, claiming that pipe bombs had been planted on their premises. He was being investigated.



At Luton Magistrates' Court yesterday, he admitted to making bomb threats to thousands of schools as well as a United Airlines flight travelling from the UK to San Francisco last month.



He was found in his bedroom at the Watford family home.

Today's audio features George Duke-Cohan, pretending to be a concerned father who's daughter told him her flight was hijacked and that one of the gunmen carried a bomb.



He can be heard complaining and expressing frustration over not receiving any updates on the hijacking.



The teenager from Hertfordshire admitted guilt to three counts of hoax-bomb threats.



Duke-Cohan (pictured) made hoax threats while being investigated for a second series of bomb threats.



Hundreds of UK schools were evacuated after threats in March. Duke-Cohan being arrested days after the hoax that claimed to be a mass hysteriac.



However, while being investigated in April, he claimed that bombs had been placed in both American and British schools.



The fake bomb threats were discovered at the time to be part of an Minecraft gamer feud.



Threatening emails were spoofed to appear to have been sent by a gaming network known as VeltPvP which is the name of a Minecraft player-versus-player server.



Up to 24,000 emails were sent to schools across the UK, including in the North East, London, Bristol and Humberside.



While being held on bail for threats to schools, Duke Cohan called San Francisco Airport and their officers to inform them that an explosive was aboard.



The hacker group known as the Apophis Squad claimed flight UAL 949 was grounded because of their actions in a tweet on Twitter in August.



Duke-Cohan claimed to be a worried father while calling the airport. He claimed that his daughter was on the plane.



He informed staff that his daughter had contacted him to say gunmen had hijacked his plane and that one was carrying an explosive.



Bishopsalt School in Uxbridge was one of the 400 schools that was evacuated because of the bomb hoaxes this year



After being threatened, the evacuation of 400 schools of Selly Park Technology College for Girls (pictured) was held in Birmingham.

Fairholme Primary School in Feltham West London informed parents that they were closing because of the threat earlier in the year.



Walsall College (pictured above) was also evacuated because of the bomb hoaxes earlier in the year.



Duke-Cohan was detained for three times at his home in Watford (pictured) following the hoax of a mass bomb



Once it landed in San Francisco, the plane was quarantined as security operatives descended and the 295 passengers were instructed to remain on board.



The investigation grounded the aircraft and affected other scheduled flights at the airport.
