FIFA 15 survived a three way attack to remain No. 1 in the UK. 1, despite a drop of 70 percent in sales. The soccer simulator from EA was able surpass multiplatform action-RPG Middle-earth, Shadow of Mordor and Xbox-only racer Forza Horizon 2, and porta-brawler Super Smash Bros 3DS. It placed second, third and fourth according to. While the trio of new games couldn't topple the UK's love for FIFA (and let's face it only a handful of games could) however, they were able to outdo Destiny, the Bungie shooter, which fell from second place to fifth place in its fourth week of sales.

With the exception of the PS4 retail edition of Minecraft (which UK databod Chart Track denotes as another platform for Minecraft: PlayStation Edition) The other game in the top 40 was Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes in 27th. Chart Track does not release sales figures but it did reveal some differences between platforms for the top-rated games of the week. For instance the Shadow of Mordor split was 56 percent PS4 and 41% Xbox One, and 3 percent PC (that does not include downloads) In contrast, Forza Horizon 2 had a 73 to 27 ratio between Xbox One 360 and Xbox 360.
