Serena Williams' Back To The 80s Moment

Williams led the third set 4-1 but Rus was just two points clear of Williams at 6-5. In the final tiebreak the American took control to deprive Williams of what would have been a significant moment following her heartbreak earlier in her career. Rus lost 17 straight matches from 2012 to 2013.

Williams was in the final set for the longest duration since losing to Virginie Razzano in 2012 at the French Open. It was the first time Williams played back-to-back tiebreaks in the third set during her career of more than 20 years.

Djokovic's injury
