There are MAINLY 8 STEPS to fully activate your internet:
1. For the first step, you need to download the app from the app store or google play. (IF)
2. Once you launch the app, sign with your Xfinity ID and password. (IF)
-Select Get Started to begin the process of setting up your Gateway. Activation should only take about 20 minutes.
XIf you aren’t prompted to begin the activation process as soon as you sign-in to the app, you can navigate to the activation entry point by selecting the Account icon from the top-left corner of the Overview tab on the Xfinity app and then selecting Activate xFi Gateway or Modem under the Devices section.
3. Now look for the QR code on the bottom or the side of your gateway. The Xfinity app will prompt you to use your phone's camera and scan this code to find your device. Focus on the QR code with the camera, once its successfully scanned you will see a green check mark. (IF)
4. WE'RE ALMOST THERE, For the fourth step, the app will then give you tips on where to place your gateway. and guide you through connecting and powering up. (Let's place your gateway)
-CHECK IF THERE IS A SINGLE/MULTIPLE, EITHER BLINKING OR SOLID WHITE LIGHTS
5. you need to give your wifi network, a name and a password. Choose something you will easily remember.
6. now sit back and relax while your gateway is activating. It will let you know if you're ready to get online. It should only take less than 10 mins.

7. *PITCHING*
-BY THE WAY KAREN, Do you have a back-up mobile data plan? How much data do you usually use?
-Xfinity just have the best deals. From the BY THE GIG and UNLIMITED, By the Gig is our most basic one and would be the best deal for you. There are 3 options you can choose from (LOOK AT OTHER NOTES) (THEN BACK AGAIN HERE)
-The good news is by the gig is a shareable data that is why you can share it even with your family or group of friends. Plus since you're an Xfinity member your activation fees are free. Do you find it good?

8. For the 8th and one last step, you need to connect all your devices with your new wifi network. go to your devices wifi settings, select your WIFI name then enter your password.
