How To Play Minecraft (Beginner's Guide)

In contrast to normal video games, Minecraft allows you to have control over the game. It even has options allowing players to become moderators, and to build their own modding/coding directly into the game!





Getting started


Logging in and the main menu




This is a list of the things you can do after you have clicked the buttons in your main menu.

- SinglePlayer: Start or continue an easy game. The remainder of this article covers the different options for starting a game in SinglePlayer mode.



- MultiPlayer: Join other players online.



- Languages Modify the language of Minecraft text. The tiny button to the left of the Options button will show a speech bubble with the globe.



Options: Options: Manage game options like sound, graphics, mouse controls, difficulty levels and general settings.



- Quit Game: Close the window, unless you're in the In-Browser mode.





Start your first game in SinglePlayer mode.

1. To view a complete list of all worlds, click on the SinglePlayer button



If you're just starting out in Minecraft this list ought to be blank.



2. To create a new game, click the Create New World button.



The Create New World page opens.






3. In the World Name text box, enter the name you like and then click the Create New World button at the bottom of the screen.



When you enable cheats in games, it can increase or decrease the difficulty level when you play, and also shifts between Creative mode and Adventure mode. Cheats can give you more control over the game as you begin your journey.



After you've created your world, the game automatically begins by creating it and placing your avatar avatar in it.





How do you select the right game mode for Minecraft


Survival

After being randomly spawned into an entirely new realm, players must survive by gathering materials as well as building shelters, gaining exp and fighting off hostile mobs.

Creative

A game mode that allows players to instantly access almost all blocks and other items, be invulnerable, immune to death, and fly. This game mode lets you to create/design unique worlds.

Adventure

Players interact with objects (levers, buttons) and mobs in order to complete their adventure.

Spectator

Invisible to everyone and cannot interact with other entities like blocks, entities, or even your inventory. This mode allows you to view other players' worlds.

Hardcore

- similar to survival mode, Hardcore is set to the "hard" difficulty level for the duration of the game and players cannot be respawned; after you die the map is erased (or you permanently become spectator).
