A Minecraft map can be basically whatever you want it to be. One of the best aspects of Sandbox gaming is the flexibility it gives you to create incredible Minecraft designs, or to spend a lot of time exploring every single block.
Due to a combination in the playground it provides and the players' creativity it is not uncommon to see amazing things. alusky Some projects are more difficult than others. Today's project is a Minecraft city which took 2,400 hours to construct over 2.5 years. That's an incredible commitment and one of the most impressive Minecraft cities we've ever seen.
This isn't the first time the Minecraft map has been shared on Reddit. The last one was July 2021. "Since my last post, the city has nearly doubled in size and the built-up area is roughly 11 sq km approximately 30 sq km if you include all the road network, and 40-50sq km if you count the land that has been cleared." You can actually see a video of some of the city below by the Redditor themself.
As the player flies around, Minecraft is struggling to load all the details and buildings. Roads are also marked with markings. There is even an area that looks like an electric grid. There are over 2,000 buildings within the city as well. It would make an amazing map to hide and seek. It's just not available for download.
