Ween Merchandise
Ween is an alternative rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania. The band is the brainchild of Mickey Melchiondo and Aaron Freeman, better known as Dean and Gene Ween respectively. Their first studio album was Pure Guava and it reached number 18 on the Australian charts. They released two follow-ups, a live album and an EP, before taking a sabbatical for a few years. In 2015, they returned with a vengeance. They are currently comprised of Mickey and Aaron, as well as Glenn McClelland and Chris "Mean Ween" Williams. For a while, the lineup was augmented by Claude Coleman Jr., a keyboardist with a penchant for the weird and the unusual.

The band has been credited with inventing the 'alternative' genre. As such, the band has toured the globe. ween T-Shirts saw them playing the festival circuit in the U.S. and Europe. Some of the highlights included a collaboration with Japanese noise rock act Boredoms and the release of Z-Rock Hawaii. This one had some clout, as the tour was supported by the likes of John Peel, who helped them find a home on the BBC.

Although Ween is best known for its gimmicks, it has been noted that some of their more notable escapades were more than mere reminiscences. Interestingly, the band has been a part of the Elektra stable since its inception in 1985. The label also happens to be home to artists such as Cheap Trick and The Smiths, both of whom performed with the band. After a year off the road, the quartet resurfaced with a vengeance. Despite the hiatus, the group has managed to keep their patented "fear of the unknown" ethos intact. Aside from the occasional tour stop, they have managed to churn out an impressive list of hits, most notably the album-length mega-hit Beavis and Butt-Head. Despite a lull in activity in 2014, they have stayed afloat thanks to their fans and the good graces of their record label. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live, there is no time like the present to catch them at their next performance. Fortunately, they are currently touring in support of their latest offering, the album A Perfect World. Having said that, if you are one of the lucky few who managed to snap up a ticket for a gig in your area, it's highly likely that you will be treated to a show to remember.

While Ween is best known for their off-kilter song list, there are several notable albums in their catalog to choose from. Among them is The Pod, a collection of songs that feature pitch-shifted guitars and a cleverly conceived mix of genres. Notable performances include a track listing akin to a triumvirate, and a cover of Neil Young's 'Whiskeyman'. Earlier this year, the group also teamed up with the Shit Creek Boys for a brief stint.
