The Theme for the Event was my Story

Tubecon is a worldwide community-driven YouTube event that gathers YouTube creators and their audiences in arena-sized public events. The first Tubecon took place in August 2014 in Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with more than 5,000 people attending. 1 Tubecon has been held 25 times across four countries (Finland Sweden Spain Switzerland and Switzerland) with more than 120,000 people attending each event. Tubecon has seen an impressive increase in popularity over time and so has the YouTube and online influencers community. Tubecon's biggest events attracted over 18,000 attendees and included more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon's event program was developed in collaboration with local online influencers. It includes multiple program elements such as Meet & Greets and Tubecon Video Awards, panels, and concerts. Tubecon 2018 will take place in Finland, Sweden and Germany and letters of intent were signed in Romania, Latvia, and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



Tubecon's story began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to organize an event that they and their viewers could get to know each other in a safe and fun way. [4]



Performers[edit]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12-13 August 2016. The second day was sold out. The event had all together 18,500 attendees. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began in Stockholm on the 6th of January, 2016. The event was attended by more than 4,500 people. They also held an autumn tour which started on September 9 in Vasteras and ended on the 10th December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities. More than 15,000 people visited Tubecon events in Sweden in 2016.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen on February 20 the 20th of February, 2016. Tickets for VIP and Aftershow were also available.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted around 17,500 people. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain was held on the 18th of February at the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event saw about 4,000 people who attended and more than 200 Spanish creators in attendance. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. The event was attended by 2,500 people. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon took place for the first time in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17 and 18 August. The theme of the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers participated in the event. Tubecon hosted international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first Tubecon World Meet. International creators included Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart and his alias Paint, Softpomz and MrTrashPack. A brand new TubeCity concept was revealed at the event. This allowed different genres, including gaming, beauty, fashion and food to have their own distinct blocks within the city-like event space. Tubecon introduced Tube Academy which was a brand-new educational track, which was open to filmmakers and anyone who is interested in understanding more about the production of videos and the business.
