Minecraft Hogwarts: How to Play This Cool Minecraft Harry Potter RPG Map

Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? You may have seen the huge Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that was released in an playable alpha version earlier in the year. The mod recreates the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a massive map and RPG game inside the vanilla version of Mojang's Block Builder. Now you can jump into Hogwarts using Minecraft.



This map is provided by The Floo Network, a modding group who created this huge and impressive creation. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map's launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Get your wands ready! We are finally releasing our map; an interactive RPG built for vanilla Minecraft!" The post also includes the unveiling of the new 'download trailer'. It is available below.



The game's name"Witchcraft and Magic - The Floo Network', doesn't do justice to what it can bring to the game. Brick-by-brick, virtually all of the famous features of Hogwarts as well as the Harry Potter world are faithfully depicted in the video. There are shots of Hogwarts its vast labyrinthine maze of classrooms, dungeons, halls and towers, filled with a myriad of nastinesses, puzzles, and of course, magic from the world of the Harry Potter series. Unfortunately, we're certain there's not a Minecraft Hogwarts seed that will magically reproduce the Hogwarts experience, so if you're keen to explore the halls of Hogwarts, here's how to find the best Minecraft Harry Potter map and experience the magic for yourself.



How can I unlock the Hogwarts map in Minecraft



Planet Minecraft has a map of The Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts. You can download it here. It's worth noting, the creators advise Witchcraft and Wizardry currently only works with the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).



If you're running the Bedrock Edition that's available on PC but not on Mac, then you won't be allowed to play this version.



Harry Potter Minecraft features



So where exactly can you go in this Minecraft Hogwarts map? It is possible to explore the charming suburban street of Privet Drive and the entire area of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. When you enter the school's rooms you will find a massive banquets filled with delicious food and candles hanging as if from a fairytale. There are many hallways and staircases decorated with portraits of famous students as well as an enormous library with a plethora of shelves of books.



You can also cast spells using your magic weapon, go through dungeons with magic challenges, shop with friends in Diagon Alley, and even confront the terrifying Dementors as well as Cornish Pixies. You can even play Quidditch!



The map has been updated to include a complete RPG storyline, with all the Harry Potter trimmings you might imagine. Everything from purchasing your first wand, schoolbooks, and robes in Diagon Alley to learning your first flying lesson at Hogwarts. We won't give away any of the major plot surprises, but we will say that you may need to use a Patronus Charm in order to keep away any evil spirits lurking in the darkness.



Most importantly, on Minecraft Hogwarts' grounds, you'll find everyone's favorite half-giant, Hagrid, tending to his gamekeeping duties. The mod's creators are grateful for your love and support and kind words throughout the project.
