Caves & Cliffs Part One Release Date

In some surprising news, we finally saw the release date of the most recent update. It will be available for both Bedrock and Java on June 8th, which is today.



This makes sense to drop just a week prior to E3 so that people can relax and enjoy it without the game announcements. That being said, you can actually play it right now.





Pre-release launch

The last snapshot was removed for the update. This was blamed on an unexpected issue. We finally received a preview of Caves and Cliffs.



Sliced Lime Minecraft's tech lead, announced the news via Twitter. This was the first prerelease and an essential element of development that will lead up to today's release.





An Update on the Mobs

Caves & Cliffs Special's most recent episode includes Minecraft's Axolotl, Glow Squid and Goat.



This particular focus shows a lot of passion for Caves & Cliffs but it also shows how confidant the team is regarding the latest update





Caves and Cliffs Beta

Minecraft 1.17 Caves and Cliffs Beta allows players to try out new features. It also, with Snapshots assists players in coping with the long waiting.

Update 1.17 release date

Although the release date has been set for the first part of the series on the 8th of June, we don't know when the second will come. We've been informed that Caves and Cliffs part one will be released in the summer, while the second will be released around the time of the holiday season.



Given how long it was between the announcement of the Nether Update and its release, Minecraft players were ready to sit patiently for the next big update to the game, and now we have a release timeframe for when content will be available.

Caves & Cliffs Update content

Minecraft is about to get even more beautiful with more diverse and imaginative content planned for both caves and mountains.



There will be new biomes, including beautiful caves filled with life, and caves that dripstone with stalactites and stalagmites.



Caves are a diverse place and this is the most important aspect of the game. The Caves & Cliffs Update will keep the classic look but will offer something for all.



There are many new mobs. The terrifying Warden is coming into the most dark and dangerous caves.



There will be more friendly mobs to go with this monstrous mob! Axolotls and goats will be added into the water, while the Overworld will be their home on the new mountain ranges.

A new method of mining will arrive with the Caves & Cliffs Update that sees players carefully excavate rare and fragile artefacts by brushing away debris rather than picking things up with the pickaxe.





New ore

Find the latest copper ore, or the stunning Amethyst crystal geodes which can be mined to create new crafting materials. With the Caves & Cliffs Update, there will be a plethora of new blocks and crafting recipes including sculk sensors to detect movement as well as telescopes, lightning rods and leaf platforms, as well as a whole lot more.





Lush Caves

A new biome! Lush Caves promise to be full of life providing some color and excitement to the caves, as well as the risk of tunnelling!



There is a new tree, Azalea, which indicates where a Lush Cave is while on the surface.



Spore blossoms are a new block, a flower that hangs from the roof that releases particles similar to those found in the Nether. Nether.

Redstone additions

Crystals

Growing from an unobtainable block, these crystals are not just pretty but they're also very useful too! Key in a new recipe, you'll have to find them and then build around them.



You can create a telescope from crystal shards! !



To create it, you'll require copper. This is right, a brand new ore is being added to Minecraft. Copper blocks will also turn green as they age, as in real life. This brings a sense the passage of time to your surroundings.





Bundles

Minecraft has always had a small inventory. Players have had to struggle to carry the items they need since they have become more difficult to locate.

The Bundle will fix this. It is possible to put many types of things in one Bundle and also full stacks of other items as well. This means you can carry just one Bundle and hold 64 cobblestones, 64 iron ingots, and even some flowers in one inventory slot!





Archaeology system

You may have come across broken Nether portals. But now there are archaeological dig sites!


With brushes and a hut, you can move aside sections of blocks to uncover hidden artifacts from the past.
