Home favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis claimed the first ATP title of his career on Saturday, beating fellow big-server Arthur Rinderknech in three sets at the Adelaide International final.
The Australian won 7-6 (8/6), 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 in two hours and 38 minutes.
"I would not want to be a winner of my first title anywhere else... Kokkinakis stated that he has been practicing on this court since the age of nine.
In great form Kokkinakis had beaten the former US Open champion Marin Cilic in a three-set semi-final nerve-jangler Friday in an impressive start to what he hopes will be an unstoppable season.
In his first final in five years, Kokkinakis defeated the Frenchman's pyrotechnics with the help of his home fans.
In a first set, Little separated the big-servers. This was almost predictable , but had to be decided by tie break.
Kokkinakis had set point at 6-5 following a skillful play at the net had enthralled fans to their feet.
However, Rinderknech was not apprehensive to take the first set, and his powerful serve was a challenge to crack.

Kokkinakis, too, kept his cool on serve , but he lifted in the tie break with explosive groundstrokes to even the game.
His momentum continued into the third set. He won the first break of service in the match to secure a stranglehold.
Kokkinakis repeatedly smashed into Rinderknech's serve and broke his title drought. He sank to his knees as the crowd erupted.
In the opening round of the Australian Open, he will take on Yannick Hanfmann, a German qualifier.
While Rinderknech meets Australian Alexei Popyrin in his opener.
