When you sign up for a Minecraft: Education Edition trial or purchase a Minecraft: Education Edition subscription, Minecraft: Education Edition will be added to the inventory in your Microsoft Admin Center which is associated with your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant. Only administrators of your organization are able to access your Microsoft Admin Center.



If you don't have an Azure AD or Office 365 tenant, you can sign up for a no-cost Office 365 Education subscription when you purchase Minecraft Education Edition. For more information, visit Office 365 Education plans and pricing.





Settings for Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft A5 customers with 365

Schools that have purchased Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5 have an extra option of making Minecraft: Education Edition available to their students:



If your school has these products in your tenant, administrators can select to enable Minecraft: Education Edition for students who use Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5. Select Users from the left-hand menu in Microsoft Admin Center. From the Users list, choose the users you wish to remove or add for Minecraft: Education Edition access. If it hasn’t been assigned Add the A3 or A5 license.



If you choose to add an instructor's license then the user will be assigned an instructor role in the application and will be granted greater authority.



After selecting the appropriate product license, ensure Minecraft: Education Edition is switched off or on, depending on if you want to add or remove Minecraft: Education Edition from the user (it will be on by default).



If you disable this option after students have been using Minecraft Education Edition They will be able to use it for up to 30 days to play Minecraft: Education Edition before they lose access.





How to obtain Minecraft Education Edition of Minecraft

Users in a Microsoft verified academic institution account will have access to the trial version of Minecraft for free. limited logins for Minecraft Education Edition. Go to https://education.minecraft.net/ and select

in the upper navigation bar.



Scroll down and select Buy Now under Direct Purchase.



This will route you to the purchase webpage in the Microsoft Admin center. You'll need to sign in to your Administrator account.



If required, please fill out any information regarding payment or your organization.



Select the number of licenses you'd like to purchase and then click Place Order.



Once you have purchased your licenses You will need to assign them users to the Admin Center.

Minecraft: Education Edition - volume licensing

Qualified education institutions can purchase Minecraft: Education Edition licenses through their Microsoft channel partner. Schools must be enrolled in the Enrollment For Education Solutions (EES) and the volume licensing program. Educational institutions must work with their channel partner to decide the Minecraft: Education Edition licensing offer is best for their institution. teamextrememc This is how it works:



The channel partner will send you a volume license request. Your licenses will be listed on Volume Licensing Service Center and will be available in your Microsoft Store for Education. A confirmation email will be sent to you containing a the link to Microsoft Store for Education. Invoices

Invoices are now an accepted payment method for Minecraft Education Edition. There are some requirements:



Only for administrators (not supported for Teachers) Minimum invoice of $500 for your initial purchase $15,000 invoice maximum (for all invoices within your organization)




To pay using an invoice




During the purchase, click Add a new payment method.



Select the invoice option and then provide the information needed to prepare an invoice. The PO number item allows you to include a tracking number or information that is important to your company.

Distribute Minecraft

After Minecraft: Education Edition is added to your Microsoft Admin Center inventory, you can assign these licenses to your users. Alternatively, you can download the application.
