Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series is an episodic game series that is a narrative-driven adventure set in the world of Minecraft, coming in 2015 to PC, Mac, mobile devices and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." We've reached out to Telltale for clarification on platforms.
The game is unique in its storyline that is influenced by the choices players make, much like Telltale's other offerings, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead. Irc101 Telltale claims that the Telltale game series will combine familiar characters with new themes to create a completely unique Minecraft experience. It is inspired by the Minecraft community and continues to inspire a new generation.
Mojang offers a little more details about its story approach on its blog: "We don't intend to create a story that is official for Steve, nor describe the world of Minecraft in depth. It will be a cool game."
