大陸口院研究所又分學術性研究，及專業性研究，研究所念完還需再接受醫院規範下培訓三年，規培完才能正式成為一位醫師。 可能內地還不像台灣來的診所林立，在大陸一個牙醫師的養成，大部分還是經由醫院以及學校體制慢慢培訓出來。 兩岸在學制上各有相似及相異之處，透過他們的制度可以回頭反思自身的處境。 最好是能在一歲半之前改掉使用奶瓶的習慣.此外最好不要養成嬰幼兒半夜喝奶的習慣,因為半夜喝完奶,口腔經常沒有清潔就又入睡,十分容易造成齲齒. 在治療過程中，需將牙髓腔全部打開，以方便牙髓的拔除及根管的清理。 此時會造成牙齒有大的窩洞，甚至被患者誤以為是牙醫師故意損毀牙齒。

凡是牙髓發炎症，變性或壞死的時後，都需作根管治療。 引起牙髓 炎的原因很多，最常見的是蛀牙造成。 因為不加注意、沒有早期填補，以致越蛀越深，細菌侵入牙髓腔而引起炎症。
在拔牙幾天之後，再次感到疼痛或是疼痛的情形惡化的話，請立即就醫。 您在剛拔牙後可能會漱口，刷牙也要輕輕地刷，並且避開拔牙處。 拔完牙後24小時，在起床和用餐之後的每2個小時，都要用溫的鹽水漱口。 若有抽菸的習慣，拔完牙48小時內請不要抽煙；若有嚼煙草的習慣，拔牙後請至少1週不要使用菸草，因為菸草會延後傷口癒合，也會增加併發症發生的機率。 一、牙周病成因為細菌感染，初期症狀為牙齦發炎，嚴重則會導致「齒槽骨」萎縮、牙齒脫落。 二、牙醫師指出，「濃鹽水」能稍微抑制細菌的成長，但只是輔助，沒有治療牙周病的效果。
期間包括口腔外科需進行鼻形塑型術或唇顎裂修補術、會診耳鼻喉科檢查中耳、語言治療孩童說話聽力功能、最後更要結合正畸科進行咬合、牙列不齊等矯正，所有的治療旨在讓唇顎裂的孩童恢復正常的功能美觀以及心理信心。 本科實習生在實習這年是不會輪轉到正畸科的，要畢業後成為研究生才會開始在這裡訓練。
