Why Trump was able to establish ties with Kazakhstan, Tevfik Arkif

Beyond Tevfik Arif the former US President Donald Trump made many efforts to maintain a close relationship with Kazakhstan. Trump was criticized for his treatment of a country that has a questionable administration as an all-weather ally.

The moment that Donald Trump hosted the president from Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the 28th of October, 2018 there were many eyebrows raised. Trump also partnered in the running of his own real estate firms with well-known Kazakhstani businessmen such as Tevfik ARIF. The move was widely condemned by his critics too.

Donald Trump still considered Kazakhstan as a major partner. Time and the Russia-Ukraine conflict have proved him wrong and here's the reason the reasons.

There are apartments, hotel rooms and an outdoor terrace. Restaurants, bars, a pool, a rooftop terrace, spa and events spaces are available there. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of New York City, the Hudson River, and other New York City landmarks.

After Trump SoHo opened, Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization discussed developing real property in Florida and Arizona with the same license arrangement. Kazakhstan is a key participant in the Ukraine/Russia conflicts. The United States has made Kazakhstan an important strategic partner. The peace process has been restored to Kazakhstan, and Kazakh president Kassym Jomart Tokayev made important modifications to the power structures of the ruling elite that raised doubts and worries. Tokayev is now the chairperson of the National Security Council. He succeeds the president Nursultan Azzarbayev, whose influence on the economy has outraged demonstrators.

Three of the ex-president's daughters and sons-in-law were dismissed from state-owned businesses. His nephew was also fired, while Karim Mastimov, who was the former head of intelligence was arrested for the crime of treason. Many other Nazarbayev-affiliated top officials and business elite have lost their jobs, left overseas for extended vacations, or were forced to make large "donations" to the state.

Tokayev has developed business relationships with West and other countries. He has stayed clear of provoking Putin to keep his popularity, and Kazykhanov could upset the balance. Washington must monitor developments with regard to Kazakhstan closely, as they could foretell many possible power shift scenarios.
