Minecraft is one of the most popular games across different platforms, and it will not use non-fungible tokens or NFTs. Mojang, the developer, stated Wednesday in a blog post that it won't allow Minecraft NFTs.
"To ensure that Minecraft players have a secure and inclusive experience, blockchain technology is not allowed to be integrated inside our Minecraft server and client applications, nor can be used to create NFTs associated with any game-related content, such as worlds, skins, personal items, or any other mods," Mojang said.
The developer noted that there are companies that have created NFTs that are related to Minecraft however, it believes that these tokens don't cover all users and "create an image of the haves and the not-so-haves." Mojang also raised concerns about fraud and artificially high prices for NFTs.

The video game industry has yet to fully embrace NFTs, even though there have been some success stories that were not able to last due to the current crypto winter. Experts believe NFTs will become the norm in gaming when someone finds the right method of implementing them.
