One of the most popular podcasts on the internet, Frenemies Capsule Set, ended after a spat between host Trisha Paytas and producer Ethan Klein. In the latest episode, the two argued over the direction of the show, creative contribution, and pay. After a heated argument, Paytas quit. The producer has since made a statement on YouTube about her decision to leave the show.

As a result of the dispute, the production crew for the podcast paused work on the show for a week. Although the producers of the show were unhappy with Paytas' outburst on Monday's episode, they were not interested in putting more strain on the crew. They were also unhappy that the two hosts did not have a say in hiring the production crew.

Paytas said that she was disappointed that she was not consulted during the hiring process of the production crew. She also questioned how the production crew was paid and whether they received an equitable share of profits from the show. Eventually, she and Ethan engaged in a calumny campaign. At one point, she accused Ethan of gaslighting, and later claimed he was "lazy" and "angry" about her comments.
