After reading this, I highly recommend watching the full video. The guy shares his own experiences and gives heads ups on obstacles you'll face that I couldn't fit into this 5 minute read. Without further ado, let's commence into a summary for my bros with shitty attention spans:

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 1͟ - T͟h͟e͟ G͟r͟o͟w͟t͟h͟ M͟i͟n͟d͟s͟e͟t͟ - 0:37

There are two mindsets, the "Fixed Mindset" and the "Growth Mindset".

1. The Fixed Mindset: When you set limits for yourself and don't go beyond them. If you make excuses like, "I'm not smart enough for this" and "I'm not born with this skill", you're in the fixed mindset.

2. The Growth Mindset: When you take new challenges in an effort to become better. Getting into this mindset is the first step to take. There's more to this mindset, and op recommends looking into it.

"It's all about taking on new challenges, and pushing yourself and breaking yourself down so you can come back stronger. It's about resilience. It's about not waning in the face of aversion."

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 2͟ - F͟i͟n͟d͟ Y͟o͟u͟r͟ D͟r͟i͟v͟e͟ - 2:49
Motivation is volatile; they won't get you far in the long run. Drive is the reason you're studying, it won't care how you're feeling. Goals, aspirations, and desire to succeed are drives. Drive will help you push through challenges that motivation will basically evaporate in the face of.
• Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins is a book recommendation op gives if you're figuring out your drive.

Some tips:
• Surround yourself with people who are driven.
• Doing better than you are now is a drive you can build on! Find something you absolutely hate about yourself and make studying a part of how you can fix it.
• People are social creatures who feel belonging in things bigger than them. Base your drive around other people, not only yourself. Fit want you want into it.
• Your drive needs to be clear so you don't forget it.

"Figure out what drives you, how you want to be a better person, and you have to remember it"

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 3͟ - B͟u͟i͟l͟d͟ S͟t͟r͟o͟n͟g͟ H͟a͟b͟i͟t͟s͟ - 9:41

There's lots and lots of habits, and each person has different habits they're more productive in. To build habits, op recommends a system called "Streaking".

Streaking: Crossing off the number of times you do something. Streaking helps in building persistence, which prevents procrastination. So, a habit.
• Atomic Habits by James Clear is a book recommendation op gives if you want to look more into streaking.

"When you're doing something persistently, you don't think twice about doing it."

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 4͟ - M͟e͟a͟s͟u͟r͟e͟ Y͟o͟u͟r͟ P͟r͟o͟g͟r͟e͟s͟s͟ - 11:13

Instead of measuring how long you're studying, measure your progress and focus. If you look at how long you're studying, you're going to look for other things to do besides studying.
• Deep Work by Cal Newport is a book recommendation op gives if you want to look into studying deeply.

Deep Work introduces the formula: Quality of Work = Time Spent * Quality of Focus
• According to this formula, if quality of focus is low, you won't have a good quality of work no matter how long you spend studying.

Some tips:
• Figure out the time duration you're comfortable studying in.
• In the beginning, you're not going to be able to focus deeply for very long. That's okay. This is a habit that takes a while to build.
• Prioritize focusing deeply over spending more time studying. The day has a fixed number of hours you can't increase, but you can increase your focus as much as you like.

"You need to be sure that you're aware that depth is the more important one because that one has a lot more room for growth."

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 5͟ - S͟t͟a͟y͟i͟n͟g͟ C͟o͟m͟m͟i͟t͟t͟e͟d͟ - 14:44

Burnout is inevitable. Be patient with yourself and understand there's negatives with positives.

When you do get burnt out, it helps you draw the line between pushing yourself and pushing yourself too hard. Makes sure to stay just behind that line.

"If you do get into a burnout, understand what happened and don't do it again."

S͟t͟e͟p͟ 6͟ - M͟a͟k͟i͟n͟g͟ T͟i͟m͟e͟ F͟o͟r͟ Y͟o͟u͟r͟ P͟h͟y͟s͟i͟c͟a͟l͟ H͟e͟a͟l͟t͟h͟ - 16:45

Physical health feeds into mental health. When you're not studying, be active.

Fix your posture and take it seriously. It will hurt your back and take a toll on your studying.

Eat correct and healthy foods.

"If you want to do something like this, you need to make sure you're physically sound."

F͟i͟g͟u͟r͟e͟ O͟u͟t͟ i͟f͟ T͟h͟i͟s͟ V͟i͟d͟e͟o͟ i͟s͟ F͟o͟r͟ Y͟o͟u͟ - 18:11

This video is generally for people who are ambitious, because this lifestyle isn't easy and committing to it is even harder. Whether or not it's for you, that's up to you to decide.

"I hope you do well. I wish you the best of luck."
