The data on spending by the public sector is often difficult to comprehend and compare. Government statistics are usually presented in tables. In this hack I have used open data from Eurostat (the EU statistics agency) regarding government expenditure for various countries and rendered boxes in the Minecraft world. This lets you walk (fly) across the globe and examine the data.
Boxes for spending data are ordered as General public service Defence, Public order security, Economic affairs and protection, Housing and community amenities. minecraft servers Health, Recreation culture education, religion Social security.

Future plans include rendering budget deficits as holes in the ground, and making it possible to enter boxes to view subdivisions. Data for Greece should be rendered in lava I believe.
