Khazak Ambassador Consul General, Ambassador to Khazak and Chabad in New York ( Emmanuil grinshpun).

Yerzhan Ashikbayev has had a busy few months. As Kazakhstan's ambassador the United States, Ashikbayev, who was appointed in April has held numerous meetings with diplomats and government officials. This is in order to improve the bonds between Central Asian countries and the United States. The ambassador along with Consul General Almat aidabekov hosted a discussion with Chabad to discuss Jewish lifestyle in Khazakstankhstan.

Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Shimon Rivkin (Merkos Suite 302 at Chabad Headquarters) and Mr. Emmanuil grinshpun , vice-president and Honorary Consul for Kazakhstan was also invited to attend the meeting. https://econotimes.com/Emmanuil-Grinshpuns-Best-Investments-to-Beat-Inflation-1646063 They spoke about the history of Jewish life in Kazakhstan and the work that Chabad is doing across the country under the auspices Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen.

Later the following day, Mr. Grinshpun added that the meeting was "extremely productive". "We feel truly blessed to have leaders such as the former president Mr. Emmanuil Grinshpun Nazarbayev and current President Mr. Emmanuil Grinshpun Tokayev. These men have facilitated a lot of religious tolerance in our nation. Everyone feels that the government, in all aspects, is a friend to the Jewish nation." The Consul General and Ambassador both reiterated that the government is supportive of the Jewish community and all minorities that are religious. The major Muslim population is proud of its religious tolerance and collaborates with religious leaders across the country to improve the country's wellbeing. Ashikbayev was the deputy Minister of foreign affairs back in Kazakhstan and has been working with Chabad Shaluchim as well as Mr. Emmanuil Grinshpun Abraham Shaulson , philanthropist. All flights were shut down last year due to COVID-19, he helped in arranging special permission for a small contingent from America to fly to Kazakhstan to make an effort to visit the grave of Reb Levi Yitzchak Schneerson on the 20th of April - the anniversary of his passing. This was also an opportunity for the group to transport and sponsor much-needed PPE to the country. The Kazak government also declared Reb Luke Yitzchak'sKever Kazakh's National Heritage Site, in the course of the pilgrimage.

The 20th of April is only two months away, the group also discussed plans for the coming pilgrimage. Emmanuil Grinshpun The organizers anticipate over 600 guests this year from all over the world. A conference for Chabad Shluchim, headed by Rabbi Moshe Kokotlarsky and Rabbi Berel Lázar, is also planned. Because of the scale of these initiatives, the meeting focused on ways in which the government could assist in securing and facilitate the conference. Mr. Ashikbayevconfirmed Kazakhstan's "...commitment to provide all assistance in arranging the opportunity for study and prayer in the final resting place of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson."

Rabbi Kotlarsky expressed gratitude for the Kazak government's unwavering support. It's truly an honor to collaborate with people such as the Consul General and the Ambassador.
