Minecraft Snapshot 20w14a

Even though we've added every update we could think of to Minecraft We thought it might be good to take the Nether Update snapshots from where we left off. This snapshot introduces the Zoglins!



New Features in 20w14a



- Hoglins that end up in the overworld are transformed into Zoglins quite quickly. But who would ever send a Hoglin to the Overworld? Compasses are now fascinated by Curse of Vanishing



Zoglins



Zoglins - Zoglins are zombies. They are Hoglins as a result of the introduction of a Hoglin into the Overworld and unlike Hoglins they can't be bred or fed, and they don't worry about warped fungus. Beware, these creatures are wild and are a threat to everything they see!



Changes in 20w14a



The background for the main menu is now available in the Nether. - The general statistics list has been sorted alphabetically. Strider balancing



Strider Balancing



- Strider speed while mounted has been significantly increased to be more similar to boat speeds - Warped Fungus on a Stick now has a maximum of 100 damage per item, and takes 1 damage per Strider consume. When Warped Fungus on a Stick is combined with Striders and the boost can be a great way to traverse the lavas



Technical Changes in 20w14a



The compass now includes LodestonePos, LodestoneDimension and LodestoneTracked data fields. If LodestoneTracked is zero, the game will skip looking for a Lodestone in the position specified. - Game registry now includes characteristics that are similar to sound events as well as items. - Region files are now opened in synchronous mode to increase reliability



Game registry has been updated to include attributes. This means that there aren't many changeshave been made:



- Items and entities will no longer keep unknown attributes. Names of certain attributes have been renamed to meet the requirements of resource location

To prevent loss of data or corruption after the event of a crash region files can now be opened in the synchronous mode to prevent data loss or corruption following a crash.

Servers with dedicated servers can disable this by changing the sync-chunks within the server.properties
