Minecraft Steve has a Beard Again

He also polished his shoes but did not properly tie his shirt.

For the first time in over ten years, iconic Minecraft (opens in new tab) default skin/character Steve has a beard again, via the most recent update to Minecraft's upcoming version. There are a few small adjustments to the texture of the skins for Alex and Steve in the beta launcher. This makes a huge difference.

Steve is now sporting the iconic beard. Sleeves are rolled up or cuffed sleeves and more color definition in key areas such as the chest and arms. Maybe they've polished them. It's hard to say all that dust isn't it?

Alex wears the same sleeves on her sleeve as Alex but with more vivid colors on their clothes. Alex's hair is highlighted with the layers and the depth.

The multi-year pandemic that has hit the world has been tough for everyone. Many people decided that this was the best moment to grow a beard since they weren't leaving the house or anything-including the infamous Minecraft Steve. Is that a canon or something? It's not. Minecraft Servers It was a prank.

Steve's beard disappeared for the first time in 2009, 13 years before Alex was introduced to the world. Despite that, the neglected beard still appeared in official artwork and even appeared at the time they included Steve in Super Smash Brothers, all the way to an Amiibo figure.

Welcome back, beardy Steve. The fans seem thrilled. (opens in new tab)

In other Minecraft news we've compiled the best texture packs (opens in new tab) for the venerable survival game. There is also a trend of restoring ruin as players update both their historical castles that are in game (opens new tab) as well as the recently added ancient ruin sites. (opens in a new tab)
