What Exactly are Quartz Crystals even for?

The Nether is home to quartz geodes.



You can also find quartz in the Nether by mining. They spawn below y 30 and are smaller than amethyst geodes. They spawn more frequently in souls sand valleys, with only the top portion emerging



They are composed of three blocks that are crystalline, which is semi-transparent quartz that looks kind of blurry, and crystalline quartz. Perfect to build the architectural window blocks that were so popular in the 2000s. Additionally, the outer shell will be made of smooth basalt. Calcite remains in the middle of the shell, which is similar to the calcite.



What is it like? It looks similar to the quartz item texture but in 3D, appearing from a basalt block



Interesting mechanics:



Striders are attracted to these locations. This makes them easier to obtain for players who are new to the sport.



What do quartz crystals actually serve for? You can combine them with 4 echo shards placed on the grid of crafting as well as a magnifying glass and you get the netherscope. all mobs hostile to each other should be terrified of sculk and should actively get away from it



This is due to the fact that sometimes hostile mobs lurk in the darkness. they can usually spawn on the edges of the city's ancient walls and can create quite dangerous situations for the warden. along as being a feature to make the dark fair more frightening, it also creates the impression that mobs are scared of the place. This property can be removed by mining or moving a sculkblock. only natural sculk blocks will keep mobs away.



Will sculk created by catalysts for sculk count? Perhaps however, i am unable to imagine how to manage that.



Ancient Cities Parrots give up their lives for their food



Parrots are useless at the moment: If you're about to die due to the Warden, but there's a parrot on your shoulder it will fly away, making a sound that the Warden values over all other noises which gives you the chance to escape, while killing the parrot along the way (sure it would be sad, but so is an axolotl that dies from the thorns on a monument due to it swung at a guardian in a reckless attack)



What do you think the game is missing in terms of building blocks?



Besides just general variety, I've been hoping to see more ethnic representation in Minecraft. Village and Pillage was a good beginning, they pulled an impressive amount of real-world cultures, without simply copying and pasting them into the game, however the villages are all still constructed using blocks that are fairly standard. They should not be too specific however, I think it's a good idea for future blocks to incorporate certain design principles or customs in order to build structures that are unique to the biome.



The creator of the character on Bedrock's actually done a pretty good job in this. They've had events that tie-in with holidays like Chinese New Year before, but the items are generally stylized to fit within the Minecraft universe and are mainly referred to by simple adjectives or nouns. There isn't a Christmas in this world, only jolliness. Does that make sense to you?
