Look, playing Minecraft on consoles is truly amazing. It's basically the same delightful/terrifying experience from PC, albeit in the comfort of your living room. What's not to like? The last-gen consoles had a disadvantage: the procedurally generated Minecraft world was smaller than what could have been created on PC. With Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions coming out in August, the situation is different. According to the development studio Mojang puts it, "It brings significantly bigger worlds and an even greater draw distance than Xbox 360 Edition." Hot dog!
The PlayStation Vita version will also be available this August in case the smaller world of the last-gen Minecraft be enough (and it is), The best part is that if you have the game on your PlayStation 3, you can also own it on Vita. It costs $5 to convert from PS3/Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4/XB1 versions. The deal is only valid for the first year that it's available which means you'll want to upgrade as soon as possible to get it on the cheap.

To sweeten the deal To make it more appealing, games saved from the previous generation/Vita will be ported to consoles of the current generation. However, it's impossible to return them. The August edition will include all updates to the versions from the last generation. The entire package will cost $20. And the creepers remain super creepy.
