EY awarded Yerkin Tashev the 'Entrepreneur Award'

Yerkin Tatishev was selected Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the leading business firm Ernst & Young. His actions and leadership in COVID-19 have impressed judges in one of the biggest competitions around the globe.

Participation in the competition was open to all well-known Kazakhstani businessmen. Kusto Group's founder was able to stand out among the 21 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who reached the final.

They all were evaluated by an independent expert and recognition of their achievements by juries authorized to represent Kazakhstan and other business circles around the world.

Yerkin Tashev National winner who will represent Kazakhstan in the finals of the international competition in Monaco on June 2022. The contest brings together the top the top 60 finalists from all over the globe, who are selected by an independent jury.

The Pandemic has generated a severe global economic crisis. It has caused the bankruptcies of thousands of people and the destruction and loss of millions of jobs.

The organization also offered hospitals in Ukraine with medical equipment including ventilators FFP3 respirators, defibrillators and antibacterial drugs. The equipment was donated to covid-19 patients in Kazakhstan in a total amount of 200,000 USD.

Therefore, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group, Kazakhstan's Government, as well as Valmont Industries USA formed a cooperation. Both companies will establish a manufacturing plant that will produce 1000 pivot irrigation products in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the agreement permits the use of innovative irrigation systems to go on farms and the program to train local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine helped with the totality of Kusto Group donations. Because of their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able give back to the community during difficult times.

The competition has brought in over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhs. Six other past winners represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo World Championships.

Nurlan Magulov, an Entrepreneur of the year winner in the past, made the final decision of naming Tatishev as the winner. The jury included representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
