New on Realms - Curses And Cacti

For those PvP players who like bows and bow, welcome to Bow Blitz, a map about bopping your opponents in the head with arrows in an attempt to throw them into the vast infinity. There are several arenas for players to select from, and understanding the terrain can be useful in combat. The power-ups can also be useful and can give you an edge over your opponents. Play with your friends, play alongside bots, or even become a friend with a bot. Friendships like these are real and real-life regardless of what others tell me.

You'll notice that I haven't included minigames or adventure maps in this list. World templates are a bit strange because they can be the primary Minecraft world, and even a few players on a single world template can play for hundreds of hours and influence its placement. The other categories we have include Experiences and Inspiration, and each has a small number of maps at this time (which means that these categories are both wide open for creators!)





Hit Pause

If you've lived under a concrete block or a fence, you've probably noticed something fishy is up with Minecraft: the Update Aquatic is coming! As with any major update to Minecraft: Java Edition, some things will change in the Realms content library. In the beginning, this could be the last set of Realms maps prior to the update, based on when it's released. INFO Creators need to take time to plan updates and new maps. Second, you might have to remove some maps from Realms when an update occurs. About one third of maps are updated immediately, and another third are updated in the next month. In the final third the creators decide to focus on new projects.



What this amounts to is an exciting and totally-not-at-all-stressful-for-our-team shakeup of Realms content as we phase out the old and publish the new. We hope that the new maps will offer lots of new uses for the aquatic features!
