Mojang's Scrolls will be significantly cheaper on tablets and phones than it is on PCs and Macs.
The collectible card game developed by the studio behind Minecraft currently costs US$21, but Mojang acknowledges that it will not be able to charge that much on portable devices. When the game is released on iOS and Android it will cost $5.
"We've realized that our current price is not feasible for flatter more pliable, and more slick, machines," said Mojang.
"Our current price of $21 isn't realistic for tablets. As you've probably figured out that games are inexpensive on these things. The option of free-to-play is an option however we're not interested in the way that form of monetisation can alter the game's gameplay."

The game will be cross-platform once it launches on portable devices. Users who purchased the game for just US$21 on PC and Mac will be given the US$20 shard package as a compensation.
