The biggest error we make is that, for no reason at all, we always presume that there is a complete alignment in both sides' expectations without even trying to get our partner's brain in order to understand what his expectations from us are. We're almost always in total alignment with our counterpart, minus one aspect : he doesn't take advantage of the opportunity to expand this gap . There's nobody to tell us about the imminent confrontation.
There are many sources of communication issues, but they are generally due to our individual personalities. People with square personalities are more likely to not communicate with people who are liberal. People who are aggressive will be unable to reconcile their expectations and the expectations of passive people. This is easy to see - squared can be distinguished from liberal, while aggressive individuals can be distinguished from passive.
What if they were very different? Consider the gap in personality. No one has ever discovered it, warned about or investigated it. !

Two kinds of human beings exist. Certain of us are "full-circle" types, a self-contained person that feels totally natural to be by himself. Sure, he needs an accomplice. Absolutely! All true! ... It is possible to live without the perfect partner. He will continue to live his life in a relationship with his new partner once the time comes to find one.

The "half-a circle" kind is the opposite face of the human race. (No this isn't a full-circle that was damaged during delivery). When they discover the awful creature, they will not let go! They will attempt to live with the victim as if were one of them, and refuse to give up the idea of living in harmony. They will not compromise their desire to be able to stare at each other for the rest their lives. They will not compromise on anything less intimate in order to fulfill their desire to be integrated with the other half and make up a whole.
A striking differentiator between these two types is the choice to let go a partner. The whole circle tends to release a partner they have lost chemistry. The half-circle type , however, will redefine what it means to have mutual chemistry with their partners. They'll claim that they're 'holding onto this B..ST..RD until they can replace him with an upgrade.
Imagine the amazing dance that happens when a "half" and "full" circle try to be their counterparts. They're unaware of their different perspectives. The Half makes two leaps forward, well beyond the comfort space of the Full who finds the abrupt invasion of his personal space a little too frightening. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. He took the Half out of his comfortable zone . While the Half thinks that the Full made an innocent mistake, and was kind enough to compensate by taking a second step forward, the Half becomes more concerned and begins to feel angry. The Half and the Full understand why, but aren't using the correct terms. They aren't able to properly express their feelings, so they search at the wrong things. The victims could have been spared if they had known that the item they're seeking is Half, and the other is full.
While there isn't any one answer, there are many options to take.
