The first four episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode came out in quick sequence, offering players a meticulously crafted story before Christmas. But with one episode remaining the game's creator Telltale abruptly stopped talking about when its adventure would be wrapping up. MINECRAFTSERVERS Today, we have a date -- and it's quite what we were expecting. Episode five will air on the 29th of March. Three more episodes are scheduled to be added later in the year. They're described as "additional adventures" and will not be part of the season pass, which means you'll have to pay a little extra for the full story.
Mojang's Owen Hill wrote in a blog post that while information isn't available regarding the content, he said that "we can confirm they'll be great and maybe have a slightly different character than the previous seasons." If you're familiar with Minecraft: Story Mode you will understand the reasons why the team is interested to develop more episodes. The world undergoes major changes towards the end of episode 4, which opens up new adventures for Jesse or the Order of the Stone.
