Minecraft's annual event started out as a convention, but flipped to a streaming-only format in 2017 in an effort to maintain the tight-knit atmosphere for an increasingly large audience. It's returning to the live experience, however, and has now more information to share. The renamed Minecraft Festival is now slated to be held at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center between September 25th and September 27th tickets are available beginning March 6th at 12PM Eastern. Mojang and Microsoft have promised plenty of activities in addition to hearing the most recent Minecraft news. Tickets are on sale starting March 6th at 12PM Eastern.
Tickets start at $65 per day and $165 per day for three days. A $225 Gold package gives you early access to panels, exhibits and the retail store, while people who go all-out with the $300 Diamond package also get access to a special lounge, a separate bag and coat check, as well as an exclusive pin and lanyard.
This is good news for fans who have not had the opportunity to meet the creators and other fans. However, Microsoft is taking a risk with the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Although September is only seven months away at the time of writing this, it's still not certain the outbreak will be under control by the time. The Minecraft Festival will likely go ahead, but you might want to be cautious about planning your lives around it.
