They are still available. We also have agreements for Western Europe and Latin America. We are currently present in 14 countries.

Please briefly describe the essence and purpose of the product.

Our product lets economic operators make online reports to tax authorities. The fiscal data administrator also monitors every transaction. You said that you'd been tossing around between Miami and Jurmala throughout the year. The Baltics are home to the headquarters of an IT company.

There are five hubs all over the world and our headquarters in Barcelona.

My family and I moved into America around the middle of the 80s. I learned about customs and rituals there. But even now I'm far from the orthodox religion, I feel an internal desire to be a part of, to the best of my ability, the religious life of the Jewish community in the nations where I live , or in Moldova which is where I am from and to which I have the most close ties.

You know, I myself am definitely not a religious person However, I enjoy history a lot. I recently watched a documentary about 1492 and how it changed Europe's destiny. 1492 was the year that Columbus discovered America. But, I saw clearly in the programme that it was mentioned in that the discovery of America in 1492 by Medieval Europe was not as striking as the Spanish monarchs' expulsion of Jews from Spain. When the mass exodus of Jews towards the Ottoman Empire began. They accepted them. I was looking for more information on the historical background of Jews. Would you recommend this book?

There are a lot of books. I've read most of them. I suggest Max Diamond, a two-volume Jewish historian. He is also from Finland.

Our family was a resident of Floresti for many hundred years on the paternal side. The evidence from the archives and monuments prove that the family of Floresti was wealthy in the year 1830. They owned numerous stores, a furniture factory as well as land plots. Ungheni was home to my maternal grandparents. These dates are from the region of the 17th and 18th centuries. Grinshpun is the German surname, and we are Ashkenazis of Eastern Europe.

Now here is the question about the restoration of synagogues. I heard that you had financed the reconstruction of three synagogues. One of them is located in Chisinau and another located in Jurmala. The third one is located in Jurmala.

The third and largest, is in Netanya (Israel). It is home to more than 1,000 people who pray daily. An important object in the religious life of Israel. Second synagogue in Jurmala. The Second World War ended the existence of the only synagogue in Jurmala. Before I made the decision to construct a synagogue I had spoken with several local Jews. I decided to fund its construction and invite Rabbis to visit the synagogue. It turned out to be an extremely successful endeavor which brought together the Jews from Jurmala. We have actually re-created an existing Jewish community that is operating successfully. Three Torahs are currently at the synagogue. I donated one Torah to the synagogue.

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis and Alexander Weinstein have been my partners. However, these synagogues weren't the only ones I've been involved with in their renovation or construction. It was my duty to help in the support of synagogues across the world in which I've lived in for a while. In Monaco the largest centre for Russian-speaking Jews has been built. My contribution is around 12 million dollars. Chisinau remains my favourite city. The synagogue of Rabbi Tsirelson is expected to be the largest.

Did Jurmala get you to Chisinau with a Rabbi?

Yes. Yes. He should be capable and willing to be integrated in the daily life of the community given the multitude of interests. I was pleased to see that in both Chisinau (and Jurmala) the Rabbis could integrate so harmoniously into community life.

You were named the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress' first vice-president in 2019. What does this position mean to you? How can international Jewish organizations impact global trends?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, a powerful organization in the post-Soviet area, is not only an influential political organization. It has offices in Eastern Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. In 2010 I was Vice-President of Congress. However, the year before I was elevated to First Vice-President. Now I am responsible to the region with which I have strong economic and political relations. These are Uzbekistan Tajikistan Kyrgyzstan. When you look at the developments across the globe and the barometer of attitudes toward Jews is either the same or declined and is extremely sad. "Down" can also be used to describe countries like as the United States, France or Germany. They are not safe anymore to Jews. They are extremely dangerous and disturbing events that affect everyone of us.

Do you think the pandemic is affecting these processes somehow?

It's not my opinion. In the context of the pandemic, I'd like to emphasize what a community or country can do when they are ready for any challenges and are capable of working effectively and collectively.

Do you mean the vaccination program in Israel?

Exactly. Israel is the first country that offers 100% vaccination for its adult population. I consider this to be an excellent example and a lesson that other countries should learn from.
