Gameplay
Signalis offers a basic gameplay experience. is a tribute to the first classic survival video games such as quiet hill or resident evil. It's a top-down view, pixel art, survival shooter that has limited melee capabilities and a limited inventory of six items to help you navigate through the world.

It is a sci fi only single player narrative experience that brings the tension to life with a variety of melee weapons with weak ranges, forcing the combat fight to be played out at a weapons distance, like shotguns and pistols.

The game world is made up of interconnected spaces where you can search and find keys or items that help solve the puzzles by joining items into secure rooms that allow you to carry the tools you need to be able to survive.

There are enemies who can be killed if there is no ammunition in the shotguns or pistols found throughout the game world when you try to comprehend the reason and purpose behind doing the things you do in this enigmatic planet.

The game starts off easy and simple, but you'll find that the difficulty gets more difficult in the course of the game, at times, to the point of exhaustion, with enemies that will come back to life as they appear out of vents and floors, plus simple, easy, yet satisfying claustrophobic boss fights.

I'd suggest that it is not the games fault per say, but if you progress through the game a lot, let's say 2 or 3 hours in and then you take a break for a couple of days, coming back can be hard since the game doesn't give you a list of what you are expected to do next. And because the map is a little hard to understand beginners may be put off at first, but use guides and exercise your brain muscles. Trust me the pain is worth it.


The version of the enemy is a little limited to me However, it was developed by 2 people so I forgive that easily because what's there is for the most part simple, classical and effective the design of a survival horror game.

Story
The story of the game takes place in a dystopian future told in a manner that makes you think and ponder the ending and meaning of the story, not simply playing the game and be told what the story means. It is your job to think about it.

Personally, I found the narrative mechanics of female workers as well as the representation of female and male workers by machines within a supposedly communist work environment interesting.

For graphics and performance of Signalis the game, I won't be doing an in-depth review because it is a good game and looks great because of its distinctive art style. It is incredibly fast and smooth on any device that you can play it on. I truly hope it is brought to mobile like iPhone and Android in the near future.

I do recommend playing the game on an OLED TV or Monitor as it looks beautiful.
