Minecraft Snapshot 20w20b

This week, we're publishing a smaller snapshot. If you're interested in switching game modes and completing the game's advancements, this is up your alley!

In 20w20a New Features

- - Added new Game Mode Switcher debug menu New Nether Advancements





Game Mode Switcher

F3 Debug feature is now available to switch between game modes using traditional "tabbing” feature.



- Hold F3 and tap F4 to open the menu. When you tap F4, it will cycle through the game mode, or you can apply the game mode using your mouse. The last game mode will be saved and be the first option selected. You can toggle between two game modes quickly by pressing F3 and F4.





F3 + N (Toggle Spectator)

This debug combination has undergone minor modifications.



- By default, using this key will switch back to Creative after toggling from Spectator. It will now toggle back to the previous game mode you've previously played in. For instance If Survival was your current game mode, and you toggled to Spectator it would switch back to Survival.

Changes in 20w20a

- The Bullseye advancement now becomes available upon hitting the bullseye of the target block from at least 30 meters away. The Serious Dedication advancement is now awarded when you obtain a Netherite Hoe - Obtaining Blackstone is now also counted for the Stone Age advancement - Breeding Striders now count for The Parrots and the Bats' and is now required for Two by Two





Technical Changes in 20w20a

- Shulkers with NoAI are now summoned via rotation. - Added thrown_item_picked_up_by_entity advancement trigger - Added player_generates_container_loot advancement trigger - Added item_used_on_block advancement trigger - Removed safely_harvest_honey advancement trigger





Advancements


thrown_item_picked_up_by_entity trigger type

Properties:



The item that was thrown matches the one which was picked up entity matches the entity which picked up the item. The item matches the entity that picked it up.





player_generates_container_loot trigger type

Properties:



loot_table is the same as the location of the generated loot table





item_used_on_block trigger type

Properties:



The location matches that at the center of the block the item was used on is the same item that was used on the block.





Miscellaneous trigger changes

The location was assigned a new propertysmokey that determines if it is close to the campfire. Property properties were given new properties for vehicle, targetedEntity that match the vehicle or entity targeted by mob





Fixed bugs in 20w20a

MC-118234 - Advancement "Not Today, but Thank You can be activated by non-arrow projectiles such as MC-173207 Bullseye advancement may be achieved when using an un-arrow projectile, when the description specifically mentions arrows MC-173756 - Ice Bucket Challenge advancement can be earned by collecting obsidian through bartering MC-175992 Striders aren't included in the "Two by Two" advancement challenge MC-179481 - The offset of a structure block can't be bigger than 32 MC-182967. JHO 88 Throwing ender pearls while mounted does not bring you to a different location.
