One media product I am using as an example from the publishing sector is The Gruffalo. The Gruffalo is a British children's picture book by author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. It tells the story of a mouse taking a walk in the woods and deceiving different predators, including the Gruffalo. The Gruffalo was first published in 1999 in the United Kingdom. The primary audience for this product would be children between 4-8. This is because it includes a very simple layout and has many features which attract children to read. It is targeted at both male and females because it doesn’t contain any features which boys like nor what girls like. The structure and sentences are very simple because it is easier for them to read. The secondary audience would be the parents because most likely they will be reading it out to the children. The main purpose of this book is to advise and to inform. This is because it shows how they are easy prey, and these animals must be taken care of. It allows them to gain extra info about animals and gives them a sense of humour at the same time. It is read aloud because it is a target audience for those who can't read. The story of it is very easy to understand. There are many bright colours to identify how it has been set out and it uses imagery in order for them to get an understanding of how the setting is like. This story is very amusing because there are scenes of humour and entertainment​
