Minecraft just got a lot more sweeter thanks to the introduction of Minecraft honey blocks to Java. The blocky addition is available in the latest snapshot of Java's 1.15 update. It already has a lot of beneficial uses, such as the reduction of fall-related damage as well as creating an enormous conveyor belt of golden sticky.

In the latest update, you can also make a decorative honeycomb block, not to be confused with the honey block itself. You can make this delicious dessert by using four honeycombs in the crafting menu. If you don't have the budget for a gingerbread home, you can build one using honeycomb blocks. Our Minecraft bees guide will show you everything you need to learn about honey production to be able to use it to benefit or harm.

Other Minecraft mobs aren't a fan of walking on honey blocks, so they'll avoid them whenever possible. This includes monsters, animals and Minecraft village dwellers. This guide will show you how to create honey blocks in Minecraft. It also explains the various uses that the latest building block can be employed for.

How to make Minecraft honey blocks

Honey blocks can be made in Minecraft using four honey bottles. You can get honey bottles by placing an empty bottle on the hive or in a bee nest.

How to use Minecraft honey blocks

There are many ways to use honey blocks in Minecraft. Kd76 Here's a list of all we know about honey blocks:

Reduces fall damage Honey blocks can reduce the amount of fall damage (80 80 percent) Reduces speed: Moving across honey blocks will significantly reduce speed, not only for you, but also other objects that are slicing across the sides of a honey block wall. Sticks to other blocks: Honey blocks adhere to any other block, even Minecraft slime blocks Reduces jump height: You'll still be able to jump into the air, but not as high - you will not be able to leap up a standard block is a fact: Yes you can make use of honey blocks to build an actual conveyor belt. If a honey block is pushed by a piston, you'll adhere to the block. This is also true for mobs.

If you put a honey block in an 1x1 hole and then any mob that falls in won't be able to leap out because of the gooey substance at their feet , even when the honey block is hidden by carpet or an entrance door. We can think of several potential ways to trick our friends using this method however, it's also a great method to prevent mobs like villagers and livestock from escaping and wandering about when we need to keep them in one place.

The fun with honey doesn’t stop there. Many inventive players have designed Minecraft parkour maps with honey blocks. They make use of the block's sticky properties to glide across walls of glutinous Amber at high speeds.

Honeycomb and honeyblock blocks can be very effective cosmetically. They can be used to disguise as headlights, glowing candles, glowing embers or beer. You can also use them to activate the secret entrance to your base, as demonstrated in this video made by Grian, a Minecraft YouTuber.

Honey blocks can also can be used in conjunction with slime blocks to make machines that, because of their mix of materials, are able to surpass the standard 12 block push limit of pistons.
