Samurai Champloo was a Japanese anime. It aired in May 2004 to March 2005. The manga that inspired the anime is also used.
link Fuu, Jin and Mugen form the core of the story. They are vagrant swordsmen who live in the Edo period. They engage in episodic escapades, hoping to make some money.
Fuu's father has been killed. Fuu tries to get revenge. She encounters a Samurai with the exact same daimyo as her. He advises her not to get kidnapped.
Later, Jin, a ronin, is saved from death by her. However, she is likely to face threats from Japan. She will also need foreign threats to contend with.
The show is fun. It's animated beautifully and features an engaging soundtrack.
Other than the anime, there's also the videogame. It was made available for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. It is also available as a beat'em-up game. It received mixed reviews.
Merchandise
Samurai Champloo, a Japanese anime fan, might be something you have already seen. This series is educational as well. The show follows the adventures of two vagabond swordsmen in the fictional Edo period. Manglobe produced the show and it aired in Japan on Fuji TV. It was eventually licensed for commercial release to Geneon Entertainment and then licensed to Funimation Entertainment. It was the best-rated anime of its day, receiving 26 episodes. Bandai announced production of a movie, in limited form, based on the series in 2005. The series was adapted for television in 2005 by Fuji Network System. In fact, it was partially aired via Fuji TV from March 2004 to March 2006. The series was released in two formats: a DVD set followed by a Bluray disc.
Samurai Champloo can be difficult to find. It's not difficult to find some of the most stunning pieces of fan ware.
Soundtrack
The Samurai Champloo soundtrack has a lot to share. It is original, well-produced, and innovative. This is a Shounen anime series set in Japan's Edo period. They used historical elements to create a contemporary take on traditional Japanese hiphop.
Nujabes (a famous Japanese rapper) was in charge the Samurai Champloo music soundtrack. He was a brilliant producer and innovator who combined his love of hip-hop and jazz to produce a truly amazing piece of music.
It's not surprising the Samurai Champloo music has held up over the years. The highest quality sound equipment was used in the production, and the final product plays as well on the TV as it does the CD. It is so great, in fact, that many fans consider the music to be the best thing about the series. The soundtrack has been rereleased in Japan as well as North America for those who love the show.
Books
Samurai Champloo a Japanese historical anime adventure television series. It was first broadcast in Japan in 2004. It was originally broadcast by Fuji TV. The 26 episodes ran from May 2004 through March 2005. It is Manglobe's first television production. It was also available as a Blu-ray DVD. The series is set during Japan's Edo period. The series features many characters including ninjas.
The story revolves around the search for the Sunflower Samurai. Fuu, a poor tea waitress, convinces 2 young men to go with her on her quest. They soon meet a Russian who wants Mugen’s blade as a trophy. This leads to an awkward alliance of the three strangers. While the series focuses on acceptance of minorities, it also features a story of revenge.
There are three main characters in the cast: Fuu who is a tea server and a member Shimabara rebellion; Mugen who is an aggressive vagrant; Jin who's a traditional, yet mysterious ronin. Although the show focuses mainly on these three characters it also features many other characters.
