International Creators Included Bars and Melody

Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and viewers in large-scale public events. Tubecon was first held in August 2014 at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. It attracted over 5,000 people. [1] Since then Tubecon has been held 25 times in 4 different countries (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with altogether over 120,000 visitors in all the events. [2]



Tubecon has seen a dramatic increase in its popularity over time as has the YouTube and online influencer community. Tubecon's biggest events attracted over 18,000 people , and featured more than 200 YouTubers or online influencers.



Tubecon program is created in collaboration with local online influencers and includes a variety of program elements like Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards, panels and concerts. In 2018, Tubecon is taking place in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The Tubecon story began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to organize an event that they and their viewers could meet in a safe and fun way. [4]



Performers[edit]



Kasmir Justimusfilms MadCraft TCT Robin They also presented Hartwall Arena's Minecraft version on the main stage.



2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held from 12-13 August 2016. The second day was completely sold out. The event was attended by 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began in Stockholm on 6 January 2016. It was attended by more than 4500 people. They also organized a tour in autumn which began on September 9 in Vasteras and concluded on the 10th December in Kungsbacka. Around 50 YouTube creators toured 8 cities in total. In 2016 more than 15,000 people attended Tubecon Sweden events.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon took place in Germany on the 20th of February in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted about 17,500 people. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain was organized on February 18 at the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event was attended by around 4,000 visitors and over 200 Spanish creators attending. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. Around 2,500 people were in attendance at the event. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17-18 August for the first time. The theme of the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers attended the event. Tubecon also hosted international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the very first Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were among the international creators. A new TubeCity concept was revealed during the event. This allowed different categories, such as fashion, beauty, gaming, and food, to have their own blocks within the city-like event space. Johnfladung Tubecon introduced Tube Academy, a new educational track that invited creators and anyone who is interested in getting more knowledge about video production and the business. [12]
