The new album from Koria Kitten Riot pokes humanity with a big stick, but the underlying themes remain hopeful. The band's sly and uplifting songs make the world seem a little bit more hopeful, and the songs are written in a style that is instantly recognizable. The songs are often scathing, but Haig's optimistic outlook keeps the listener focused on the future.

Helsinki-based Koria Kitten Riot are about to release their third album, a collection of songs based on the experiences of singer-songwriter Antti Reikko. The album was recorded in Berlin in June and July 2012, and was produced by Simon Frontzek.

Singer-songwriter Antti Reikko has created a new band called Koria Kitten Riot, and the project is a perfect blend of grand arrangements and intimate songwriting. The sound of the project evokes Bright Eyes, but with more pop sensibility. An Anthem From the 80's is an example of the type of pop song you might find on this sophomore release.
