WRUP: a Public Service Announcement for the Saints Rowless Edition

Saint's Row 3: You have nothing to lose if have not had the chance to try it out. You can play the game free on Steam this weekend, or purchase it at a significant discount. However, this shouldn't be required, because everyone should already own a copy of this game.



It may sound like an overly enthusiastic however, I'm serious in saying that my lack of interest in the beginning of the title was a major error. You're missing out on something truly amazing If you think it's an Grand Theft Auto clone. There is nothing to lose by downloading and installing it.



We now know what you'll be playing over the weekend, but what are we playing? Look it up in WRUP just before the cut. And then let us know what else you're up to in the comments.



@nbrianna @nbrianna Guild Wars 2 is a great option. I have Marvel Heroes, an invite to World of Warcraft without a return and it gives me a reason to believe that Champions Online might be worth my time. It's a great weekend.



@Eliot_Lefebvre: I've got some personal stuff to handle this weekend but I'm looking forward to doing some role-playing in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Also want to play around with some of the many tactical RPGs loaded onto my PSP.



@irljasmine I have 99 issues, but RIFT is not one. Trion allowed everyone who bought RIFT start playing free a bit early so I decided to jump into Telara quicker than you could say "wait is what all these buttons do again". It's been a wonderful feeling to be back, and I look forward to an extended weekend of rogue leveling.



@jefreahard - I'll be cursing at World of Warplanes, and dragging my SWTOR Alts towards 55.



@Sypster If Marvel Heroes launches -- and it could be a challenge considering the disappointments this week -- then I'll give this Diablo clone a fair go. If not, I've got myself a brand-new Dragon character to introduce into Kingsmouth in The Secret World. Hope she doesn't get zombified!



@MikedotFoster: I'm playing Dota 2 again this weekend as well as conducting some research on which game will win my Choose My Adventure poll. If there's time, I'd also like to try some of the new EVE Online exploration features.



@RichieProcopio: Besides my usual dose of Guild Wars 2 action, this weekend I'll be playing Minecraft. I'm a little late for the tree-punching party however, my kids and I recently started playing together. They steal all the good things that I find despite my apparently-not-so-clever hiding places, but it's all good because I can send them to bed and then keep playing!



@terilynns - I'm doing plenty of leveling! I have two characters: a Romulan and a Reman to move through the new content of Star Trek Online and I am likely to start a new Klingon character on the horizon! And after a year of playing Lord of the Rings Online my main character has reached level 70 (Yes, still not at level cap!) and I'm planning to get her reach her cap by the end of summer! Altoholics can be an incredibly time-consuming pastime, but I'm able to tell you that I have enjoyed more playing MMOs in the last month than I have in the past month. There's so much to do!
