Minecraft Mobs List: all Neutral, Neutral, Passive, and Tameable Mobs In Minecraft

There's an astonishing number of mobs in Minecraft as of 1.18 and it's advisable to know as much about them as you can to ensure you manage each one in a responsible manner.



Below is the complete list of Minecraft mobs, animals, and creatures, beginning with the humble Chicken and going to legendary monsters such as the Ender Dragon and even upcoming mobs like Frogs, Allays and the Warden.



List of Minecraft mobs



Minecraft has evolved a lot since it was first introduced in the early 2010s. There are now 73 mobs in Minecraft and more are coming in Minecraft 1.19. ), and each mob looks and behaves very differently from the rest. Below is a list of every mob in the game. They are classified according to their attitude towards the player.



Passive mobs are mobs that won't attack the player even if a player attacks them first. These mobs are usually harmless and will not attack players unless they are attacked. Below is the complete list of Passive mobs with lists of all breedable, tameable, and riding passive mobs.



Axolotl - Bat - Cat - Chicken - Cod - Cow - Donkey - Fox - Glow Squid - Horse - Mooshroom - Mule - Ocelot - Parrot - Pig - Piglin (baby) -- Polar Bear (baby) (baby) Pufferfish - Rabbit - Salmon Sheep Skeleton Horse - Snow Golem - Squid - Strider - Tropical Fish - Turtle - Villager - Wandering Trader Frog (upcoming mob, coming with Minecraft 1.19 update) Allay (upcoming mob, launching with Minecraft 1.19 update)



Breedable mobs



- Axolotl – Cat – Chicken – Cow Donkey — Fox Horse Fox HorseMooshroom • Ocelot – Pig Rabbit - Sheep Skeleton Horse Strider?Strider? Turtle — Villager> Mule - Horse and donkey can be bred but they aren't able to be breeding.



Tameable mobs



- Cat - Donkey - Horse - Mule - Parrot - Skeleton Horse - Fox - not really tame however, they will "trust" the player Ocelot is not truly tame however, it will "trust" the player



Rideable mobs



- Donkey - Horse - Pig - Mule - Skeleton Horse - Strider



Mobs that are neutral can change between hostile or passive towards the player depending on the situation. Below I've also listed the mob's behavior and how they can be provoked to become hostile.



Bee - provoked when attacked or beehive broken it only attacks once Cave Spider hostile if low light levels Dolphin - provoked when attacked Enderman - provoked if attacked or observed by Goat - randomly charges nearby players Iron Golem provoked if nearby villager is attacked Llama - provoked if attacked, only attacks once Piglin (adult) - provoked by any player who is not wearing 1+ Golden Armor pieces Panda provoked if attacked, only once Polar Bear (adult) - provoked when attacked or near a cub Spider hostile when in low light levels Wolf - provoked if attacked Zombified Piglin - provoked if attacked



Hostile mobs are always ready to attack nearby players whenever they can. These mobs are simply stupid.

Minecraft boss mobs



There are currently two "boss mobs" in Minecraft. These are powerful mobs that have their own health bars and they are currently the most dangerous enemies in Minecraft with the exception of obviously the players you'll meet on PvP Minecraft servers.



- Ender Dragon Wither



You'll need to be ready to defend yourself from Minecraft numerous mobs, whether you're fighting Endermen or Guardians or other hostile animals such as Polar Bears.
