We've seen several Minecraft builds inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Reddit but the most recent may be our favourite. The two games work as if diamonds and sticks. This is what it appears to be, at least if you look at the Minecraft building community on the subreddit each now and again.
Reddit user lg_cuber got started by sharing a prototype of the Temple of Time on the subreddit. It turns out, however, that this doesn't even provide a fraction of what they're undertaking. The temple is certainly impressive, but they are actually creating the entirety of Zelda's Breath of the Wild in Minecraft.
The designer explained that Steve felt too small if the game was recreated at 1:1 scale. So, it's going be similar to that scale however in a way that feels more natural in Minecraft. They're using a mod called WorldEdit to copy and paste certain areas, and even fill in areas with blocks. WorldEdit can also be used to rotate entire buildings, which is very useful. They're also making use of WorldPainter. Servers (Don't worry too much about how long this would take if you were to try it brick by brick.)
Another player decided not to make the map public after they were concerned about being flagged as copyright violations. LG_cuber, though, doesn't seem fazed by that and plans to make the map available for download when it's completed.
In other news, Minecraft's initial 1.19 snapshot is out and we've seen some beautiful mangrove builds as a result. We don't have an official Minecraft 1.19 release date as of yet, but we do have a useful link you can click to learn more about it.
