What Is Continuous Assurance?
What Is Continuous Assurance?
Continuous assurance is an integrated approach to the analysis of corporate business processes. It provides an objective lens on project health and performance and treats the root causes of poor performance. In turn, it drives continuous improvement. Using a continuous assurance process enables organizations to deliver better-performing code and minimize risks.

The most common application of continuous assurance involves automated, security-aware processes. This is a modern DevOps-inspired approach to software development. A key part of the solution is a platform that continuously monitors the quality of code, allowing developers to triangulate issues within their workflow.

แทงบอล can be deployed on an incremental basis or as a broader transformation. Whether a team is small or large, Continuous Assurance can help them achieve their objectives. Unlike traditional project assurance, the Continuous Assurance approach drives continuous improvements. By integrating security assessment into the software development process, organisations can address capability gaps. Whether it is delivering better-performing code or driving down costs, continuous assurance enables an organization to improve the value of its products and services.

According to CSA research, the biggest challenge to achieving Continuous Assurance is implementing and maintaining security objectives. Specifically, the organization needs to be able to set the right frequency of assessments. Ideally, the proposed frequency should take into account cost, risk, and benefits.

Traditionally, audits are done once or twice a year. This frequency may change based on the nature of the objectives of the organization. For example, high-level control objectives that cannot be assessed on a daily basis must be evaluated at least once a month. However, if these controls are used for business continuity, they can be evaluated more often.

The main purpose of a continuous audit is to collect evidence of internal control strength, assess the characteristics of information systems, and evaluate the effectiveness of business processes. During a typical audit, a third party auditor verifies the reliability of the results by checking that the assessment tools are trustworthy. These results are then sent to stakeholders and reviewed. When significant discrepancies are detected, an alarm is raised. Detected anomalies can then be investigated in a closed loop to determine and mitigate the cause. Ultimately, this approach can provide a more accurate analysis of the strength of the control, as well as improve the control's overall effectiveness.

Continuous assurance also involves the implementation of a post-implementation review and post-implementation review. Combined, these steps can give organizations an independent view of their processes. Moreover, it can be used to provide independent opinions to investors and financial institutions.

Several scholars have proposed several application models for continuous auditing. Some, for example, include static code analysis, multi-information integration, and analytic monitoring of corporate business processes. All of these methods, though, require that the organization automate its security processes.

CSA has participated in a number of research initiatives with academia and industry. Among them, a pilot of Continuous Assurance was conducted for a large Spanish financial institution. Another project was a study to determine the feasibility of implementing Continuous Assurance in demanding cloud environments.
