So, anywho... what I'd bring to the business. Well obviously technical ability is at the forefront of my skillset. Even though I've not programmed drones in specific in the past programming is a key strong point and is always transferrable. Plus we won't be doing much actual drone programming (as I said, that's best left to a team of PhD's with 3 years spare to work the maths out in that). But more payload programming, as the payload is going to be the key to actually finding people. With that said I've also got skills in intricate statistical data analysis and machine learning which could help in the camera algorithms. Aside from the programming and stats, I've got a huge vested interest in flying machines and with that quite a bit of knowledge there as well. Obviously not intricate drone knowledge like the chaps at CDC (hence why we want them on board initially), but having built and flown RC planes and helicopters when I was younger (before they had gyros and were riddiculously hard to control, non of this flight-controller stablised drone busniess) I know quite a lot in terms of small-scale aerodynamics, manuverability and electronics (specificlally radio-transmission and said limitations)... hence yea, title wise your idea is spot on.
