3x3 Crafting grid (crafting table)

Players in Creative,[Bedrock Edition onlySurvival, Adventure, or Spectator[Java Edition only] have access to the 2x2 crafting grid from their inventory screen. There are a few small crafting recipes that can be created that are no more than 2x2. These include wooden planks sticks, crafting tables, torches, and some recipe that are not shaped. You can create items using the 3x3 grid. To accomplish this, create a crafting board using four planks of wood and put it on the globe. Then you press the use button while facing it. The interface will appear with a 3x3 grid that players can use for crafting any recipe for crafting in the game. There is also a recipe book that you can get all the crafting recipes.

Certain recipes don't require their ingredients to be laid out in a particular manner on the grid of crafting. These are commonly referred to as recipes that are not shaped. Players can make the appearance of a fermented spider-eye, by placing its ingredients anywhere on the grid. [note 1]

However some recipes require ingredients be placed in the right places on the crafting grid. They are also referred to as shaped recipes. Shaped recipes allow ingredients to be moved' up or down either left or right or both. Blastermusic They can also be flipped upside down. For example, a 3x1 recipe, such as bread, could be made using the top, middle or the bottom row of the 3x3 grid. However, it cannot be made with the 2x2 grid as it must be three items wide. Additionally, bows can be created by placing the strings on the left side instead of on the right.

There are recipes that may not be moved or mirrored in this way. These are generally referred to as fixed recipes. Banner recipes, for instance need that the dyes are placed in a certain manner to create the desired pattern. [Bedrock Edition only] Fixed recipes can be added using data packs or mods.

In contrast to other actions in the game such as smelting, brewing and enchanting, crafting is completely silent.

This wiki's recipes with no shape are marked by a pair of intertwined arrows on the crafting table graphic. This symbol doesn't actually appear in the game. Recipe Book[Recipe Book[

The recipe book is a mechanic in Minecraft that serves as a catalog of recipes and as a crafting guide. It provides every crafting recipe the player has materials for.

There are a variety of ways to arrange crafting recipes like the following:

The first tab contains all recipes that are unlocked. - The second tab contains tools, weapons, and armor. The third tab includes building materials. The fourth tab contains food and miscellaneous products. The fifth tab is filled with redstone items. Recipe system[]

Data packs for Java Edition and add-ons to Bedrock Edition can be used to set up recipes, which includes crafting recipes. There are currently 379 crafting recipes as of 1.16.
