You won't have to wait for too long to play a Minecraft character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Microsoft, Mojang and Nintendo have added to their teaser saying that Steve and Alex will be available for SSBU brawling starting on October 13th, as part of the Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 collection. As promised, you'll see a Minecraft-themed stage and seven music enhancements.
It's also clearer just what these blocky avatars are going to fight. You can use your pickaxe to create simple attacks. But, you can also "minestages" to make blocks (as defensive tools) or create items for crafting - there's even crafting tables. The Final Smash for both characters is the "House of Boom" that tosses foes into a pile of explosive Creepers.
The Fighters Pass Vol. 2 collection retails for $30, along with characters such as Arms Min Min. If you're only interested in Minecraft however you can purchase a Challenger Pack for $6 to receive Steve and Alex.
The announcement came in tandem with the Minecraft Live virtual event which included a slew of news for the Minecraft games themselves. Most notable, Minecraft Dungeons cross-platform play is scheduled to launch in November for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs. https://minecraft-servers.one/ The Howling Peaks add-on for Minecraft as a whole, however, arrives in December. Microsoft and Mojang are determined to keep Minecraft in the spotlight and that includes the experience in other games.
