Enchantment IDs


Description of Enchantment

Protection: Offers more protection than an Armor's unenchanted shield.





Fire Protection: You can't take Lava or Fire damage. This is extremely useful in the Nether.





Blast Protection: You shouldn't suffer damage from explosions. Creepers aren't a good idea!





Projectile Protection: You receive decreased or no damage from thrown or shot objects.





Respiration: You can breath longer underwater and experience suffocation slowly (+1 second between the suffocation injury).





Aqua Affinity: You can mine faster when swimming. Don't mix Infinity with Aqua Affinity.





Feather Falling: You take lesser amounts of fall-related harm.





Depth Strider: Increases movement speed underwater. Walking faster on the ground than swimming.





Thorns: The chance of causing damage to mobs, or players causing damage to the wearer





Sharpness: You do 1.25 hearts extra damage per XP level.





Smite Inflicts 0.5 to 2 heart damage on each level of XP that you need to zombies and Zombie Pigmen, Skeletons, and Wither Bosses.





Bane of Arthropods: You deal 0.5 to 2 hearts more damage per level of XP to Spiders Cave Spiders, and Silverfish.





Knockback: This enchantment will make mobs fly farther back if they are hit with it. *NOTE! Dead bodies can also fly backwards, and gaining XP could be a bit more difficult.





Fire Aspect The fire aspect sets mobs on fire when you hit them. Pigs, cows, and Mooshrooms drop cooked food if they catch fire after dying.





Looting: Mobs have a +1% chance of dropping more rare or rarer loot, such as Armor or Swords according to the XP level.





Efficiency: You break blocks 250% faster. You may break blocks in a flash.





Silk Touch: No matter what you break, you receive the exact material. (Ex. If you break Stone (Ex. If you break Stone, you will get Stone instead of Cobblestone.





Unbreaking The process requires three hits to reduce the durability for each level of Unbreaking. It takes 3 hits to decrease the durability by level 2. It's not random.





Luck The odds are in your favor of getting more than one drop of a block.





Power: Bow Damage is greatly increased.





Punch Mobs are knocked down. Similar to Knockback on the sword.





Flame Mobs shot are set on fire. The TNT is ignited.





Infinity: Your bow only requires one archer to shoot an endless amount of times.





Luck of the Sea Reduces the chance of catching worthless junk





Lure: Increases the likelihood of fish biting your hook
