Mojang's Scrolls on Tablets will be much cheaper
Existing users to be compensated.
Mojang's
Scrolls
will cost significantly less on phones and tablets than it currently costs on PC and Mac.
The collectible game for cards from Mojang, the company behind Minecraft currently costs US$21, but Mojang recognizes that it won't in a position to charge that price on portable devices. When the game is released on iOS and Android it will cost $5.
Mojang stated, "We have realised that our current pricing isn't a good price to buy more slender, more tactile machines."
"Our current price of $21 isn't realistic for tablets. You probably know that games are costly on these devices. Free-to-play would be an option however we're not thrilled with the way that that form of monetisation might affect gameplay."
The game will be cross-platform after it is released on portable devices. As compensation, players who have already bought the game on PC or Mac for US$21 will receive the shard pack for $20.
